Celean watched in fascination as the wizened old man worked his craft; his hands and dextrous fingers pulling small jars of materials off the shelves of his potion room; unidentified insects, bits of dried animal droppings, sweet-smelling powders, small crystals which glowed with pale light. All the time he was working he hummed a random tune or muttered unintelligible words or incantations. Arak, the dwarf, sat in the corner of the room and looked upon him with disdain and suspicion. "Do we actually know what he is making?" he asked irritably. "It is best you do not ask, dwarf..." the Seer said loudly, his voice suddenly rising and becoming quite threatening. The dwarf instinctively began to rise up and confront him, but Celean held up her hand quickly, wanting to lighten the mood. "Let us be patient, my friend. You never know, he might be making you a refreshing beer!" At that moment, the Seer took a lizards eyeball from out of a jar on the shelf, cut it into small moist pieces with a sharp knife and then dropped it into the bubbling pan on the stove. The dwarf began to look a little green, and slowly lowered himself back into the seat. "A beer heh?" he said quietly. "Well I certainly hope not..."
